Overview

OnPhonesTogether is an online gaming service operated by LeptonWorks LLC. This policy explains how we handle information on onphonestogether.com and its game subdomains, including Aligned.

Information We Collect

You do not need to register an account or provide an email address, age, or full name to play. We collect:

• Player information: The name or nickname you enter, a randomly generated browser identifier, and records of when you first and last play.
• Game information: Game participation, items shown, choices and rankings, scores and results, and gameplay counts and history. These records are linked to your browser identifier; they are not anonymous.
• Optional feedback: Ratings you submit about individual items and sets of items, linked to your browser identifier and the round you rated. We also keep combined item and set rating counts without browser identifiers.
• Technical information: Our hosting and network providers process information such as IP addresses, browser and device details, requests, and errors to deliver and protect the site. We also use operational logs and traffic/performance statistics.
• Messages: If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

• Run games, show results, recognize returning players, and use item history when selecting items.
• Understand how the games are used and use feedback to improve them.
• Diagnose problems, prevent misuse, and maintain and recover the service.
• Respond to messages and privacy requests.

Who Can See Information

• Other players in your game see your chosen name and game activity, including rankings and results as the game reveals them. Choose a name you are comfortable sharing, and share game codes only with people you want to join.
• Game invitation links can show the inviting player's and host's nicknames to anyone with the link. Links can be forwarded, and messaging services may fetch the invitation page to create a preview. Copies of shared messages and previews are controlled by those services.
• We use Amazon Web Services for hosting and backups, Cloudflare for network delivery, security and email forwarding, and Gmail for contact messages. These providers process information needed to provide those services.
• We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, abuse, or threats to the service or people's safety.

We do not sell personal information or share gameplay records with advertisers. We do not use advertising tracking tags on the site.

Your feedback ratings are not shown to other players.

Cookies

The game uses a persistent browser cookie to recognize your player record and keep you connected to your game across visits. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but that can interrupt play or prevent us from recognizing your saved player record. Clearing cookies does not delete server-side game history.

Data Retention

We retain player records, saved game history and submitted feedback on an ongoing basis to recognize returning players, maintain item history, and understand and improve the games. Operational logs rotate and expire separately. Routine daily backups expire after 30 days; migration and recovery archives may be kept longer.

We take reasonable steps to protect stored information, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

OnPhonesTogether provides general-audience games for friends and families. Our games are not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not ask players for their ages or operate an age-verification or parental-consent system.

If you believe we have personal information about a child under 13, please contact us so we can investigate and address it, including deletion as required by law. Please do not send a child's sensitive information in your initial message.

Questions and Privacy Requests

In Aligned, you can delete this browser's saved player data after leaving or ending your game and returning to the lobby. This removes your player record, your linked feedback and saved games you took part in. Combined item and set rating counts are retained without a link to your browser. Backup copies expire separately; deletion records are applied before restored data is used.

Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We need to be able to identify the relevant records and reasonably verify your connection to them. Depending on your location, additional privacy rights may apply.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this page and its date when our practices change, and provide additional notice or seek consent where required.
